To the sheriff of Washington county, greeting: You are hereby commanded to take the body of Isabella Carmichael if to be found in your county, and him safely keep, so that you have ... before the Honorable Circuit Court, to beholden for Washington County, at the Court-House in Jonesborough, on the first Monday of March next, then and there to answer Ham a free man of color of a plea of trespass with force and arms an assault did make and ...did imprison for a long space of time to wit the time of five years to her damage one thousand dollars.
